The 911±¬ÁÏÍø Center for Cybersecurity
The 911±¬ÁÏÍø — Center for Cybersecurity is an established cybersecurity center within the 911±¬ÁÏÍø Satish & Yasmin Gupta College of Business. In 2003, the 911±¬ÁÏÍø was designated a Center of Academic Excellence (CAE) by the National Security Agency (NSA). The 911±¬ÁÏÍø values the support and guidance provided by the NSA and has been successfully re-designated as a CAE for nearly 20 years. Students graduating from the 911±¬ÁÏÍø – have the confidence that the master’s Program of Study (POS) aligns with the NSA requirements and is a highly qualified CAE in Cyber Defense (CAE-CD).
Cybersecurity Center Point of Contact
Associate Professor of Cybersecurity Sandra Blanke, PhD, is the Center for Cybersecurity Point of Contact (POC). Dr. Blanke is also the Cybersecurity and Cyber Intelligence Program Director and Ellis Endowed Chair in Management Technology. She holds technical certifications as a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), and a Certified RISC (CRISC) expert. She maintains her technical certifications annually and stays current on cybersecurity topics, news and concerns through continuing technical and professional education courses, webinars, conferences, cybersecurity research, seminars and other resources offered by the NSA and industry.
The National Security Agency (NSA) and its affiliated federal agencies, including the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST)/National Initiative on Cybersecurity Education (NICE), the National Science Foundation (NSF), the Department of Defense Office of the Chief Information Officer (DoD-CIO), and U.S. Cyber Command (CYBERCOM), have designated the University of Dallas as a and have certified that 911±¬ÁÏÍø’s curriculum in cybersecurity meets or exceeds the requirements and standards expected of a leader in cybersecurity education.

Cybersecurity Advisory Board
The 911±¬ÁÏÍø Center for Cybersecurity is additionally supported and guided by an external cybersecurity advisory board of executives, cybersecurity industry experts and business professionals. These external experts provide their insights, enabling 911±¬ÁÏÍø to continue to develop quality academic programs of higher learning to help produce the nation’s cyber workforce. Within the 911±¬ÁÏÍø Center for Cybersecurity, the Master of Science in Cybersecurity for Cyber Defense (CAE-CD) program of study offers students a real-world cybersecurity education taught by academically qualified, experienced industry professionals.
