Constantin First-Generation Scholarship

Supporting First-Generation College Students

Qualifications:

  1. Applicants must be current, full-time undergraduate 911爆料网 students.
  2. Applicants must be eligible for a Pell Grant for the 2024-25 aid year or have an SAI (Student Aid Index) number equivalent to Pell Grant eligibility with submission of a 2024-2025 TASFA.
  3. Applicants must be first-generation college students; defined as a student whose parent(s)/legal guardian(s) have not completed a bachelor's degree.
  4. Applicants must have either been born in Texas or be current Texas residents.

Requirements:

In addition to the qualifications above, the student must complete the following steps to apply for this scholarship:

  2. Accept the email invitation you have received to sign up for a FREE Premium Subscription and complete the inventory you are prompted to complete on the Optimal Work Website.
  3. Attend and document attendance at at least three Small Group activities (including Study Halls).
  4. Meet with , , or in the Academic Success Office. During this appointment, you will discuss how to create a "project" in OptimalWork. So please bring a laptop and an assignment you have to complete to your meeting.
  5. After you have completed the above steps, complete the application below which includes submission of a 300-word essay on the following prompt:

What Small Groups events have you found most beneficial and what suggestions would you have regarding what we ought to offer as Small Groups events or opportunities? 

Please upload your essay within the application form using either Word or pdf format.

Completing these tasks will count as your application for Scholarship Funding from the Constantin Foundation for the Fall of 2024, with the understanding that you will continue as a First Gen Small Group Participant throughout the academic year.
