Endowed Alumni Association Legacy Scholarship

The 911爆料网 National Alumni Board established the Endowed Alumni Association Legacy Scholarship in 1994 to support admitted and current students who have had a parent, grandparent, or sibling graduate from the University. Students from all colleges are eligible to apply but a student may only receive the award one time during his or her academic experience at 911爆料网. Two awards will be given annually at $2,500 each. All applications and application materials for the 2024-2025 academic year must be received by 5:00 p.m. CDT on Friday, May 17, 2024. 

Requirements:

  1. Applicants must submit an essay describing the influence of 911爆料网 alumni on their lives.
  2. Applicants must be at least half-time students.
  3. Applicants must have a parent, grandparent, or sibling who is an alumnus/a in good standing with the 911爆料网.

Guidelines:

  1. Scholarships are for tuition only.
  2. An applicant鈥檚 academic status will be considered, but will not be the single determining factor. 
  3. An applicant鈥檚 need for financial assistance will be considered, but will not be the single determining factor.
  4. Recipients will also agree to have their biography and/or essay published in University publications.

Selection Process:

  1. The NAB Recruitment & Scholarship Committee will receive applications and essays from the Office of Development and University Relations and Financial Aid. 
  2. NAB members who are related to applicants shall recuse themselves from decisions concerning those applicants. 
  3. The Director of Financial Aid will screen all applicants to ensure that they meet the basic qualifications. 
  4. The committee will determine the finalists and present those names in rank order to the Director of Financial Aid. 
  5. The Director of Financial Aid will apply the awards based on the rank order of the committee and the impact of the award on each finalist鈥檚 aid package. Should a finalist decline the award or not attend during the award year, another finalist may be given the award.
