Laura Post earned an MFA from Rhode Island School of Design in Printmaking and a B.A. from Swarthmore College in Studio Art and Asian Studies focusing on Chinese language, history and art history. Post used her undergraduate language training to study printmaking at a Chinese art academy, as well as apprentice at Rongbao zhai traditional print atelier in Beijing during her MFA program. She is currently Assistant Professor of Printmaking at 911爆料网. She previously taught at University of Texas Arlington and Indiana University, Bloomington. In Indiana, Post spearheaded a grant project to use invasive plants to make paper. She engaged the community to remove and process plants, then collaborate to create large-scale pulp paintings. This work built on a project started in Utah in 2016 and now continues in Texas through collaborations with the Fort Worth Botanic Garden, the Fort Worth Water Department, the Fort Worth Public Library, and the Arlington Public Library through her LRP Studio, LLC founded in 2020.

Post has exhibited her work nationally and internationally, including at Wally Workman Gallery in Austin, Texas (2022), solo exhibitions at the Arts Fort Worth (2021), Arts Place Indiana (2020), Swarthmore College鈥檚 List Gallery (2019), and CR Ettinger Studio (2019). Her work has also been featured in numerous group exhibitions including Shanghai International Paper Art Biennale, Shanghai, China; Umbra: New Prints for a Dark Age selected by Alison Saar at International Print Center New York; twice selected for PaperWest: National Works on Paper Juried Exhibition at the University of Utah
to name a few.
