Course Information
Textbook
The required textbook for the course will be Chemistry: A Molecular Approach, 2nd through 5th ed. by Nivaldo J.Tro. The 5th edition will be available in the University bookstore and earlier editions can be found online. All needed lab materials will be provided as part of the O'Hara program. Online homework is through Macmillan Learning and is called Achieve. You may purchase access online using a credit card on the first day of class. A computer is necessary for completion of homework assignments.
Laboratory Supplies
Goggles and a laboratory notebook will be provided at no cost.

Class Schedule
Lecture usually runs from 8:45 a.m.-11:45 a.m., Monday through Friday, with a thirty-minute break around 10:00 a.m. Lecture exams will be on each Monday morning from 8:00 - 10:00 a.m.
There is a pre-lab lecture for all students from 1:30 p.m.-2:00 p.m.; Lab is 2:00 p.m.-4:30 p.m. There will be around ten laboratory experiments each semester, as well as a lab final.
Various activities and trips are planned for each week on either Friday evening or Saturday.
