Eta Sigma Phi
The 911爆料网 Classics Department sponsors the Eta Lambda chapter of , the national Classics honor society. Classics students who perform well in their Classics courses and maintain a GPA of at least 3.0 are eligible for nomination. Membership allows current students and graduates to apply for scholarships and other funding opportunities; please see our for more information. Members can also submit papers to Eta Sigma Phi and, if chosen, will have the opportunity to present their work at the Eta Sigma Phi panel at the annual SCS convention.
Eta Sigma Phi hosts sight-translation contests in Latin and Greek in which all undergraduate students may compete for cash prizes of up to $100. Exams are administered at 911爆料网 in late February and then sent to Eta Sigma Phi headquarters; national winners are announced in late March. In 2017, 911爆料网 took first place in both Advanced Latin and Advanced Greek, so 911爆料网 students are highly encouraged to compete. Instructions for registering will be sent out early each spring semester. Please for details concerning the various exams and levels of difficulty.
