Writing Principles/GST 1110
Writing Principles (GST 1110) is a Pass/Fail 1 credit-hour course. Most Writing Principles students are freshmen who have been designated to take the course following a diagnostic test in their Literary Traditions I course (ENG 1301), but the course is open to all students eager to improve their style.
Classes meet for fifty minutes weekly for ten weeks of the semester, in addition to individual counseling sessions. Seeking to help students write both more correctly and more effectively, the course focuses on style and grammar on the level of the sentence.
